The industrialization of building structures is a key indicator of construction industrialization. Currently, the primary building structures in major cities across China fall into two main categories: reinforced concrete structures and steel structures (including steel-concrete composite structures). Although steel structures have a higher cost, they offer many advantages that other structures cannot match. These include improving productivity, saving labor, enhancing factory production, assembly, and mechanization levels, and promoting green construction practices.

Recently, the Prefabricated Construction Network, in collaboration with BIC, visited OPEN Steel Structures, a leading supplier of prefabricated steel structure systems. Chairman Mr.Chen Ming granted us an exclusive interview to share his insights on the future development of steel structures.
